Important Update: Ameren Missouri HVAC Rebates
Effective January 1, 2025, Ameren Missouri’s traditional Heating and Cooling Program rebates for residential HVAC systems have ended. Rebates for new installations of central air conditioners, heat pumps, and smart thermostats are no longer available unless you participate in the Ameren Missouri PAYS (Pay As You Save) program. PAYS offers select rebates for qualifying upgrades-ask your contractor or visit AmerenMissouriSavings.com/PAYS for details.
Federal tax credits for energy-efficient HVAC systems are still available. For the latest information on all available incentives, please check with Ameren Missouri or your HVAC professional.
New Opportunities: PAYS Program
Some rebates for HVAC and weatherization upgrades are still available, but only through Ameren’s Pay As You Save (PAYS) program.
To qualify for these rebates, you must participate in Tier 4 of the PAYS program. The PAYS program offers incentives such as:
-
-
Up to $2,000 per system for qualifying air-source heat pumps
-
Up to $1,000 per system for qualifying central air conditioners
-
Up to $500 per ton for qualifying mini-split systems
-
Insulation and ductwork rebates (50% of cost up to $250 per house)
-
For full details on eligibility and how to participate, visit Ameren Missouri’s PAYS page or AmerenMissouriSavings.com/PAYS
Federal Tax Credits are Still Available
Homeowners may still qualify for federal tax credits on energy-efficient HVAC upgrades through the Inflation Reduction Act and other federal programs. These credits are separate from utility rebates and can provide significant savings on qualifying equipment.
